The Animal Touch offers a unique experience. Touching and tapping the cast aluminum dog allows one to turn the lamp on and off, or gradually dim it to any desired intensity.
Each dog is cast by hand using aluminum recycled from car parts found in Los Angeles scrap yards. This Domus article contains more information on our metal-casting process and includes photographs of us at work.
The shade is hand built and hand brushed, and the lamp base is made from oiled walnut.
